    Triton mCCR from M3S

    Hello Guys,

I'd like to know if there is any body diving this unit? How do you like it, pros/cons limitation, what you like/dislike about it?

I've done all the research on this unit but the manual is only for the owners and all I can get is what's on there web site (www.multi3s.com) and some vague pictures.

What I like about this unit is (not exhaustive):

•Compact: it's very small even the loop fits inside the unit for travel.

    •Light weight: around 12kg.

•Front mount: the loop comes directly in front of you, no need for weight to keep it down and doesn't obstruct your side vision.
You can unclip the unit like a side mount tank and have it in front of you and even open the cover and have a look inside. You can keep your preferred OC configuration (back or side mount) and just clip the unit on your harness.

•Very modular: any diving configuration for the tank, back or side mount.

    •Safe: since it's a mCCR

    •100m depth without modification.

    What I dislike (not exhaustive):

•Can't get detailed info on how it works. How am I supposed to buy it?

    •Maybe overpriced.

*Scrubber is 2,1 or 2,3 kg, is that enough?

•Is there enough statistics to backup reliability?

Any of your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Valéry,
You'll have more chance to get in touch with the manufacturer on their FB group page.
If you read French, you can also check Plongee-souterraine - Page d'accueil. a few good threads there.
To answer some of your questions: M3S is a start up with a great product. There aren't many units out there. Most of them are used in France and CH by cave divers. Since M3S in located on the French Riviera, a few units are there and dived OW in the Med. I'm about to schedule a test dive in August if it's possible for them. I'm looking at it as a travel OW rig that I could take on my business trips as I just got a new job and will be travelling to most parts of the world 2 or 3 weeks at a time, so need to do something "usefull" during the weekends.

I own and dive Triton M3s actively. As you said it's very easy to take and travel with. Whole unit with cylinder is only 9.8 kg without sofno.
Triton trims very well and its not but heavy at all. It breaths also very well. For me 2.2 kg scrubber capacity is good enough. In cold water 3 hour duration as manufacturer says. All and all, Triton is very simply and easy unit maintain and dive.

There is a pricelist in their webpage . Unit is 4.175 Eur + VAT.
Write mail to GM alexandre.fox(at)multi3s.com. He speaks and writes fluent english. In the picture you see Alex with 4 Tritons and Bertrand. They both are behind Triton.
    Best Regards Jari

    Hi Valéry.
Yes I'm using Monox PPO2 Display. It's standard for Triton. Very easy to use with only one button. Short press=scroll Long press = choose /accept.
Monox shows also average PPO2 for whole dive. Very handy if you have only stand alone computer which is not connected.
I have another computer, Divesoft Freedom connected.
I have had Triton just over 2 months and deepest dive is only 74m so far.
    Cheers Jari

    I would say:
Yes it's over priced, as no CE (which I don't care but is responsible for the high price of other CCRs) and no deco software
It's very basic mccr so should be very reliable
The weight is a real plus
about sorb 2.3 KG. Well some datas of 3. party would help. I think for most divers would be enough for, but for me, I would not go deeper as 60m because of my high metabolism. As said before some official test datas could help.
Front mount a plus? I don't know must test before I can give an opinion

But all in all an interesting unit, good luck for them in the future!

I saw the unit at the "salon de la plongee".
Alex took his time to do a complet detail strip of the unit.
I really liked it but I still haven't tried it to see if I like it or not.
