Norwegian Wrecks in May - 2 Spots Left

    Hi RBW members

This is your chance to log four days of fantastic Norwegian wreck diving! Nine rebreather divers have signed up so far, we have two spots left!

From May 9. To May 12. We will be diving the green waters and the beautiful wrecks in the Kristiansand area in Norway. We will be diving with Nortechdive Kristiansand which is the most experienced dive-operators in the area. Dives will be conducted from a large RIB with 2x225HP off-board engines.

Depending on weather conditions we minimum plan to visit the following wrecks:

    Mossel
    Seattle
    Havbris
    Jan Hubert

We will be staying only 10 minutes from the dive center in a new 11 person flat with kitchen, tv and wifi.

Minimum depth for the trip is about 60-62m for some of the wrecks, do not sign up if you are not comfortable/experienced diving to these depths. All dives are at own risk.

The trip is 100% non-commercial. This means that cost like boat fee, accommodation and food will be split evenly between attendees. Gas, transportation and similar is not. Total cost for the four days of diving including food and accommodation is expected to be around 400-450 Euro.

We can arrange pick-up from Denmark and Norway if needed and we can supply RB and BO cylinders, weights and similar if you are traveling by plane and want to keep the weight to a minimum. If you are coming alone, we will pair you with a dive-buddy or team if wanted, never been an issue.

If you need more information, please contact me by PM or skype (christianrasmussen777)

    Safe diving

    Christian,

If min depth is 60-62m what would you expect the max depth to be? Looks like around 70m from the wrecks you mention, is that about right? Also what would you expect the water temperature and viz to be in early May?

    thanks
    Stephen

    Hi Stephen

The wreck "Havbris" sits flat on the bottom, if you dive this wreck you will dive to 60-62m. The other wrecks starts shallower but some of them will allow you to go to 70-72m. If you want to do a deeper dive that can also be arranged, however this will be a wall dive. Others might also be interested in that.
We dived the wrecks last year in may also, viz was very good (10-25m) and temperature varied between 5-10 degrees depending on location and depth.

I will try and find some more pics from last year to show the conditions.

This year we have two U/W photographers signed up and so far we have divers using rEvo's, JJ's, inspo, Meg and Poseidon and home-build units. A great chance to share unit experience, but also meet new contacts.

Let me know if you have any further questions...

    /Christian
