    An Exploration to be claimed

    Hello Everyone

There is this story that i want to share with you.

    what would you do, if

someone came and claimed your exploration project just cuz they had more money than you do?

what if that some team consisted of the most know ccr explorers in the world? would anyone believe anything agains them?

What would you say to them? And how would the most known explorers on the world with all the ethics and morals we have been taught about explorations and protocols especially in cave diving over the years, didnt stand for sh*t?

HOw they still teach something they don't do??

An explorations report is going to be announced soon, which the so called explorers of it denied the efforts of someone else, efforts of 4 years + all gone.... given they took that expedition on the first place based on info he provided yet no acknowledgment was given or even a will for it. single efforts of an individual all washed away cuz of the big bucks and shiny shoes they own. Unfortunately now they went did the dives wrote a report and took all the credit.

I respect all your input, and just want to know what you guys think about that. The story might be hypothetical, and it might be true...

    Keep Finning

    Hi Mohamed,

I guess that person is in a tight spot! Really difficult decision but if it were me, and I had real hard evidence, I would expose these guys.

No one, no matter how rich, powerful and well know and reouted should try to take credit for someone elses hard work. Unfortunately it's the world we live in and it that kind of atitudes that have taken us to where we are now!

    safe diving

If you did provide them with the details of your work then I imagine you have some evidence of it. Emails, letters, text messages etc. You deserve credit for the input you gave. Have you asked them to publicly acknowledge your contribution ?

    Name and shame on here.

    Start posting now. Pictures too.

My buddy was recreational diving Bikini Atoll many years ago as he was on the atoll to assist with cleanup activities (civilian).

A few years back there was a nat geo/discovery channel program detailing the "first" recreational divers at bikini atoll.... He was pissed and calls/letters to the network went unanswered... Still makes him mad today.

Sure enough everyone's work should be acknowledged.
But that's like finding a wreck in 150m of water and its out of your depth range. Are you gunna just forget it and not tell anyone because you wont get any cred for being the first to dive it? Or are you gunna find someone who can for the cause of exploration and answering questions?

It appears that in four years you had nothing to present....maybe sitting on it.. maybe completing this was outside your means either financially ad technically. It doesnt mean you shoud be sour at them for completing it. How do you know you wont recieve ANY credit.?
That being said.. if you showed them where it is.. and assisted in the expedition.. then you deserve mention... but no one remembers the name of the drunk in the bar that gave the Hero of the movie the treasure map do they?

I think if you were still exploring the site then no one should push beyound yr limit of exploration if on the other hand you have known about the site for four yrs and have not explored it then i believe it's resonable what the other's have done especially if u gave them info on the site. Personnally i would have first spoken to the people involved and ask them to explaine themselves and if that didn't work then as one of the previous posts says do yr own report first

Anytime I want a diplomat to start a war, I'm gonna think of you. Your choice of words leaves a lot to be desired to say the least.

Publish what you got as fast as you can; don't name names unless you can call on indisputable facts and/or witnesses to back you up.

Even if you don't name names, once their story pops up everyone will know who you mean and so will they.

Trouble is some of the big names need more and more to keep their reputations going - as it was with explorers in the old days (Stanley, Livingstone) so it is today. Unfortunately. There is however no excuse for it.
