Where can I get training to do reg maintenance?

Here in Tokyo, reg maintenance is not only exceedingly slow: it is also as expensive as a cheap new reg - especially if you want it to be oxygen clean. Next time I'm overseas on a business trip or diving trip, I'd really like to get trained and equipped to do it myself.
How difficult is this to do?
Where can I get it done?
How difficult is it to crossover to do, say, Scubapro then Poseidon and Apex?

Where can I get it done?
At home. There is plenty of info out there if you are able to teach yourself
Of course it helps if you only have one brand/model of regs.
    I have scubapro Mk20/25's 1st's and 109/ G250 2nds.

Buy the the Oxy hackers guide and the reg book plus some tools and the reg book from scubatools and you will be on your way.

I bought the book from Airspeed press and just read it. Regs are not complex.

In the UK people are a bit stuffy about selling you service kits so we just internet order them from Germany.

Apeks are easy enough to service using just the very good workshop manuals that are available for free on the internet. It is very clear on what to do for each step and service kits are easy enough to buy. Apart from a 42mm c-spanner then you don't need any specialist tools.

Divex in Aberdeen do training in servicing Poseidons.

Never worked with Scubapros so don't know how hard they are to do.

if you know which end of a hammer is a handle than you should be fine. Here is a link to majority of the repair manuals. some regs require special tools but that is something that can be either purchased or made. It is very easy to clean and service regulators.

    I hope it helped.

Thank you for the fantastic response. I also have scubapro Mk20/25s 1sts and 109/ G250 2nds (among others). I would like to place an order online now for whatever parts and tools I need to get these regs oxygen cleaned. What would you recommend I get ordered tonight?

    Try this link.

    Scuba Tools

This is one of the guys that makes the tools for the industry

Also, ultrasonic cleaners are money for cleaning regulators. Harbor Tool and Freight has some good prices on them. I use white vinegar, dish soap and water for the solution. Our O2 lab at work then soaks all the metal parts in rubbing alcohol for 30 minutes after cleaning.

I could get you trained on Apeks and have access to local parts...
