Hi

There have been a number of discussion about the the bodies metabolic rate and how this affects rebreather diving. We all know that it varies with age, size fittness and work rate, but has the effect of depth and pressure ben modelled. I heard that in a study of heart rate post diving it was found to be high.

Is there any one on the list who has access to a scientific study of this that they can share, which might reduce the amount of speculation and unfounded discussion following incidents and might help with more constructive analysis of our own diving, O2 usage and CO2 production for dive planning.

Thanks

Mark
