    McAfee- the cheeky buggers

Just a quick heads up for those that have previously used McAfee products and stopped using them so that we could use RBW... They just automaticly renewed my software even though I had terminated my account about a year ago. To their credit, they refunded the money without a bother

They tried to do the same thing to me. It was a bit more of a bother to me though as I had to call twice as they renewed it, I cancelled, then they renewed it AGAIN!

Just to add to this...I am still using McAfee. It seems that after Stuarts last play with RBW a week or two ago the conflict with the McAfee software has been resolved.

Of course McAfee denied that the prob had anything to do with them...but it's gone now, so it's a moot point.

cancelled them, and then verified that the card they had on file was about to expire... ha, lets see them renew that!

I stopped using not only becuase of the conflict with RBW, but also their last update I got was WAY TOO intrusive... too many little add ons and what not...

more parts = more things to break, or be "influenced" by those with malicious intent...

webroot for nearly a year now with no problems!

I can't believe I'm giving mac tips. Next I'll be ordering soy decaf latte instead of Doppio Espresso.

Have you tried Camino ? Mozilla Downloads

A personal computer is only as good as the software it will run. That's why I use a PC ;)
