It is a rEvo. Steel foreign tanks cannot be recertified around here...

Question may seems obvious but it is not.
To get an official fill you need official tanks. As far as know, these 3L Steel Tank with local stamps do not exist (aluminium:yes). I believe you need to get none-diving tank with an official local valve.

I will ask the "specialists" but if any body have an advice it is welcome.

The whole situation on tanks in Japan sucks. The prices are several times what they are overseas. METI, the relevant ministry, has given a monopoly to one valve maker, and you can't get your tanks filled if they aren't Japanese tanks with that Japanese valve maker's valves. On top of the makers indulging in monopoly pricing, some of the dive shops take an eye-popping mark-up. One well-known tech-diving store quoted me Y48,000 per 2.5 litre tank ($400). Dive-Rite: need I say more? METI has put in rules that you can't use aluminium tanks over 8 years old, so I went for steel. Tanks must be marked as serviced once a year. They gouge you on that too. Avoid the pirates and talk to Tanaka-san: he's a gent.

yo - mr. tanaka is THE man.

when we organised the equipment for the stella polaris wreck expedition, we got good prices for tanks and gas. and any valve we wish for - left handed or right, o2 serviced tanks. sized 3 or 4 litre, bailout tanks, lime, etc...

a fully dedicated diver, friendly and helpfull and -- seldom to find in japan -- speaks very well english.

im looking forward to dive with him.
