![]() | I know the VR3 has an option to do gas blending calculations BUT I was looking at a blending hose with a transducer and a very nice but very expensive digital pressure gauge and a thought struck me;- How about using a setup like the HP sender that the VR3 uses for tank contents and reading the pressure from the VR3 It would mean the blending hose wouldnt need its own seperate pressure gauge so one less thing required for excess baggage. I know this is one of the cheaper PINs for the VR3 (the value is in the cable and transducer) but does anyone know what transducers are used by DeltaP and how it's wired ? Sometimes see pressure transducers on ebay going for way less than a suitable analoge bourdon gauge - could be an interesting winter project Just a thought... Hey maybe DP might want to make a commercial version and integrate the pressure sensor and the blending calculator... If so, all donations gratefully received. ![]() |

That is if you can afford to be 10 bar off the mark. For calculating SAC rates it's not a problem as long as the deviation is consistent but for blending? I'd like to know how precise it is before buying. The fact that it displays up to 1/10th of a Bar (resolution) doesn't mean it's precise to 10 Bar (accuracy)

They refer to it as C31 - fischer plug, wire and transducer which screws into HP port on the 1st stage... I was thinking about saving a little cash as for blending - no need for waterproofI really like the idea but it looks like you cant use it at the same time as an O2 cell... there was a coment about a little triangular metal box on the DP stand at NEC with three fischers in... or perhaps a second feature connector could be fitted? I agree with dutchy about the accuracy issue - there's ways round it |

Yep three ports into the VR£ one O2 and to HP although there is a rumor it could also support 3 O2 cellssee Stefan's NEC report for more info and a photo ![]()
