| Re: Differences in VR3 run times (The oldest apears to be more conservative) AFAIK, the older VR-3 (especially the brick style) has 20% conservatism hidden into the algorithm even when set to zero-conservatism by the user.Kevin would remove it on request on the original version. Then the new style came out, the 20% was taken off.

| Re: Differences in VR3 run times Thanks everyone, Yes it was the different algorithms. I've had both updated to version 2007 and they are now both spot on ![]()

My VR3 with v.5 software was giving such long stop times I sent it back. It should arrive any day now (after 2 and a bit months) but I still have no idea if it was faulty.Yes it was the different algorithms. I've had both updated to version 2007 and they are now both spot on ![]() Delta-p are not giving me cause to think they are producing a reliable product with good customer service... ![]()

| Re: Differences in VR3 run times I have a v5 VR3 and a buddy of mine has the v2 or v3 I cant remember. I always have more deco to do and enter deco more quickly than he does. I have the conservativeness (not entirely sure thats a word but you know what I meen) set to 0. So from my point of view the algorithm has got more conservative with time not less (which seems to be the trend with most computers). Has the algorithm changed this year? |

| Re: Differences in VR3 run times Has the algorithm changed this year? Who knows...Sounds like they snuck the conservatism back into the algorithm again. Don't you just love it when the manufacturer does that... ![]() IMHO, the manufacturer should be upfront and let the users select the level of conservatism as they chose with plenty of warnings in the manual. I guess it is just easier to treat everyone at the lowest denominator level.
