Unhappy Help VR3 button fell out!!

Well I guess I’m lucky as my left VR3 button fell out on the boat. So now I have a button and spring. How do I put it back in and have it stay? Did I end up losing a c-clip? Or is it kept in another way? The VR3 in question is about 2-3 years old. Thanks

Re: Help VR3 button fell out!!

You have probably lost the U shaped clip that holds it in.

You can buy them I think Divertec Ltd sell them

Yes, you lost a c-clip. Delta-P sell spares, but I guess there standard so take the one out on the other button to get the size. Hold button in when you remove it...

Yes a small screwdriver, I use one of those that you use to tighten screws on glasses.

Re: Help VR3 button fell out!!

The first ones had no holes to the body to get the circlip out ....the next ones had the holes drilled and the current ones have the external circlips. Third time lucky for Delta P!!
Repeatedly "pinging" the button will see it fire out into space!

To refit the circlip use some stiff paper rapped round the button to keep it level till it will go in the slot.

Me? a friend machined a steel tool which slips over the button.

Incidentally I put mine in for a service and an upgrade to V3.03aA an it has transformed it into a nice useable computer.
