![]() ![]() | Hi all, I just do not know if it is possible, but that may avoid you guys a couple of troubles. I went diving with my MEG and VR3, and wanted to check my profile in between first and 2nd dive of the day, mistake in pushing the buttons, and I enter the DEMO mode, THE mode..... THE one I never find a way to get out off without removing the battery. Fed up with damaging my battery cap by removing it using various unadapted tools, I decide to jump in the water, thinking it will switch to dive mode. So did jump in the water, computer did exit demo mode but..... detected a start of dive only at 18 metres.... No problem, I ignore the VR3, dive tables, and exit the water. Since then the computer thinks I m always diving in between 9 and 57 metres (usually 57) when I m at the surface. I tried to let the battery out for a week which did not change anything and a couple of other funny stuffs (putting a Nx 99 as a diluent on a unit that displays 57metres to see the effect on deco made me laugh a bit....) I have to send it back to Delta P. Is it because of the DEMO mode ? I m not sure, but if I were you guys I wouldn t try it.... |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 and wrong depth reading Hello This is from the VR3 manual - Page 42 To enter simulate mode choose simulate in the options menu. The unit will switch to the DIVE display and a depth of around 10m will be displayed. Short pushes of the left and right switches will increment or decrement the depth. To exit a simulated dive do a long hold of both switches or ascend to zero depth. Kind regards DINspiration |

It could be a few things but all are pointing to you having to send the computer in for service.. Check out all the HH threads that had problems with depth.. its the same issue... same sensor.. If its only a meter or 2 then its a blockage, otherwise its either a bad sensor (intersema had a bad batch) or their is leakage..

![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 and wrong depth reading Unfortunately yes, I just sent it back for service as it is what Delta P wrote me to do. Not too bad as I want to get the VPM algorythm put in anyway.Thing is I still find it hard to believe that the depth sensor screwed up just on the very same dive I enter the water in DEMO mode, let s see what Delta P replie me when they get the unit. By the way, it is not a metre or two, it usually reads 54 metres too deep ![]() |
