VR3 USB/IR pc link help needed I just recieved the USB/IR pc link for my VR3 and installed the activation pin and required software. When I run the Prodive VR3 wizard, I get a pop up telling me that com port does not exist. The WinXP Device Manager shows that the CP2101 USB to UART Bridge Controller was assigned to com 3. I would appreciate suggestions on getting the PC link working. Thanks, CCRDVR ![]()

Re: VR3 USB/IR pc link help needed Hello I had the same problem with a usb-to-serial converter. The wizard does not recognize the assigned com port. There is a simple workaround for this: 1. Open the VRFIRM.dat file which is located in the ProDive directory. 2. Enter the firmware of your VR3 (E.g. V5.03a,2) 3. Save the file 4. Change the ProDive Options to the assigned com port 5. Try to download the dives This problem is also listed on the Delta P Homepage: VR3 Dive computer FAQ#10 I am using the new USB Infra Red link and the Wizard is not completing its sequence. Kind regards DINspiration

Re: VR3 USB/IR pc link help needed I finally got it to work! I had to remove both the Prodive software and the CP2101 USB to UART Bridge Controller. After rebooting I re-installed the CP2101 USB to UART Bridge Controller and forced it to com 1. After rebooting again, I installed the prodive software followed by another reboot. Now with the ir link running on com 1, I tried running the link and it worked!! YEEHAW!!! The real test will be successfully downloading some dives. Aloha, CCRDVR
