VR3 IR urgent hlep

Hello guys

I am having a problem with my IR connection between my pc and my VR3
The pc just don’t want to see the VR3, I would like to upload my dive but
I cant, any idea what I would be doing wrong.
I read the manual and I am doing what it says but still not working.

Have you added the info into the vrfirm.dat file?

Hello

Before you try anything, you should update ProDive to the latest release (1.3.3). You also have to consider the following points:

You need a PIN to activate the VR3 download feature. No Pin = No Download. Within the PIN Num screen after the serial number you should see somewehre a "P" in the line.

Do you have the original IR adapter from Delta P? Most of the other IR adapters do NOT work.

Is the IR adapter directly connected to a serial port or do you use a usb serial converter? Some of the usb-to-serial converter will also not work!

Depending on the VR3 firmware you have to enter the correct settings within the PC Link screen.

If you are using a PDA with you PC, make sure that the sync software does not block the COM port you are using for the IR adapter.

Use the HyperTerminal and try to open a connection with the COM port of the IR adapter

N.B.

If you try to use an ordinary infra red port on a laptop, the VR3 will reset and loose all dive data

You need the IR adapter from DeltaP or an equivilent !
