Stuart And the diferance is????? I understand that the HS is the OEM version of the AByss explorer. There aparently some differences in the deco alg but thats about it. Pauls has been upgraded with the new case and I beleive it is also HS spec. ATB Mark Chase

It it presumably going to impact on deco calculations. Does the temperature get taken into account for deco calculations. I usually dive at altitude and the units show wrong mbar but the rest is ok. I checked it out. However, this is was I was told from Delta P. Quote: Does anyone else find the VR3 battery only lasts 2 weeks, even when not being used? Never had such a problem, since 2 months I dive the colorscreen version and batteries are still ok.Quote: Does anyone else think the VR3 is an expensive pile of shite? Do you maybe mean shit? Well not! I had two of them and never had a problem. The Splash version came with an error I send it back and I got it after 10 day repaired (I live in Switzerland, not in UK). Quote: I am loathe to send it back for repair during what is a very busy dive season, but maybe I have no other option. What did you do when VR3 or HS wasn't around? You still have tables. I don't think you will have many problems to use them for a couple of weeks.Nad

I find it hard to believe they added that, just in case you wanted to know what the current mbar is, if it is not taken into account during deco calculations.I usually dive at altitude and the units show wrong mbar but the rest is ok. Don't know.Andy The altitude/pressure settings are not deco related. I think they added that just as a "surplus" trick to play with. However you live in UK, call or mail them, you'll see it going to be really fast. Best, Nad

| Classic KISSer Current Rebreather/s: | If the altitude reading is wrong - have you tried to altitude calibrate the unit? From memory (I'm actually at work as I type this, our faculty meeting was cancelled) in the menu screen, do short left pushes until you get to altitude, 1 short right push to select, then 1 short both button push to calibrate. If that doesn't fix it, then I'd be sending it right back to them... but the thing with temp and batteries sounds like something is screwed. Pity, they're a great computer, and you never get some clown innocently asking, have you heard about the yellow casing recall... No? Oh, well that would explain the crack in your explorer casing then...
