| Re: VR3 / Dreager P port connections Quote: (Originally Posted by caveseeker7) Ron Micjan has, on his tmi website. Pictures on Ron's site are from Alan's rig and the P-port is too low on the CL. It makes it difficult to fit the CL in the case and remove-replace the Pcell holder, plus when diving at min loop volume the fabric comes against the Pcell holder and blocks the face cell when the bag is fully depleted, plus too low means the cell is not in the gas path. ![]() You should cut a hole in the fabric facing the bag mouth when you lay it flat. When in use the Pcell holder sticks vertically on top of the case if you use a slightly longer (by 5cm/2") velcro retainer at the bottom: the cell is in the gas path and when it's fully collapsed the fabric is not blocking the cell face. You need to use Aquaseal/Aquasure on the outside of the bag to mount the P-port or it'll leak slowly and won't pass the vaccum test. This concerns both the black and colored (cheaper and thinner material) bags. Best Philippe Last edited by Philippe GERIN : 8th March 2006 at 15:34. |

| Cap Ron scourge of the NW ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: VR3 / Dreager P port connections actually there may be a better way. On the head opposite the O2 add point is a hole that is plugged from when the O2 was plumbed in on the left side, it was changed early on to conform to the lean left rich right standard. You might think about finding a way to mount a K1d on the in side of that hole and using a swagelok connector to seal the cable. this is right in the path of the oxygenated gas coming up from the scrubber. Disclaimer, I have not done this mod, but have spent some time staring at it with visions of kit in my mind. good luck
