![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | VR3 wrist strap - warning: dumb question enclosed Hi all. My fabulous wife spoilt me this xmas with a shiny new VR3 ![]() Now usually I'm not that technically challenged but can anyone share their experience with getting the wrist strap threaded correctly...it seems to me it's some sort of test you need to complete before you use the thing. Worse than threading a cam-band ![]() I can see two ways of threading the thing and it comes down to the question: Is the fastex clip meant to be a band shortening device by taking a bight out of the band once you get it over your hand...or is it the primary closure and hence I'll be putting a lanyard on the unit as well as the wrist strap. ![]() Anyone willing to describe how they threaded theirs? TIA Andrew |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 wrist strap - warning: dumb question enclosed Andrew, One of my friends kept the elastic wrist strap on and also added a small bungee which was knotted. He has to slide this over his wrist first, then buckle up. I removed the buckle and installed two larger independent bungee loops. Either way, you look at bungee. I dive dry suit all the time anyway, but the first way is quite simple to do. Jeff

This is how it is fitted on both of mine: I also have a little lightweight lanyard attached to the unit as well just in case it comes undone which it never has.

![]() | Re: VR3 wrist strap - warning: dumb question enclosed Once figured out it almost makes sense. I've replace the crap APD/Vision straps with VR3 flat bungee type ones as well. Since the Vision bands were just impossible to do in dry gloves. Doug

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 wrist strap - warning: dumb question enclosed Guys, Thanks for all the replies. AB, thanks for the photo...I've done that for the time being. Marc, the Slate mount idea looks very interesting. Might have a play with that down the track. Cheers Andrew |
