| VR2 or VR3 Hello all. Can I please have your views on whether there are any advantages of the VR3 over VR2 if: 1. I have no intention of diving trimix 2. I have no intention of diving more than 4 gas mixes. 3. I will integrate either with an O2 sensor to monitor PPO2 in the breathing loop. Thanks and have a great day! -Keng |

| Re: VR2 or VR3 To be honest I've never seen a VR2 but do own 2 VR3s. I don't think you are missing anything here; if you're certain about your points the VR3 doesn't offer you much extra that you'll use. The only thing I'm not sure about is screen size; they look like they're the same.... Otherwise, Bean's point about price is spot on.

| Re: VR2 or VR3 Yep - assuming you will NEVER dive Trimix there's no reason to pop for the VR3. But - if you're wrong you're going to eat that decision...... |

| Re: VR2 or VR3 Re sale on VR3s is good if you change your mind. If you shop around you can get some very good deals on VR3s. I think now the VR2 offers Normoxic it is a better computer. I wouldn't bother with the Nitrox only version because on a CCR its cheep to dive trimix below 30m so why not dive it and be safe. ATB Mark Chase

| Re: VR2 or VR3 Anyone have an idea of price and best place to buy a VR2 in the US? Same application - Dolphin SCR. Looking for P02 readout and real-time P02 based deco. No trimix, and if I upgrade RBs to CCR at some point, I will get a different brand of computer (don't care for the VR3 much). Thanks, Cam |

| Re: VR2 or VR3 I am diving the Draeger Dolphin SCR and purchased a new VR2 from http://www.divertec.net/ (Ireland EUR 630.- incl. VAT and shipping to Austria) and the ppO2 sensor/ p-connector from http://www.tecme.de/ (Germany EUR 190.- incl. VAT). For OC-diving I will buy the new HP-sensor from Delta P. Yes, the sensor is ready for sale . But, you have to return the VR to Delta P for calibration. And as Beanie mentioned above the VR2 has a new option for normoxic Trimix (SCR and CCR, min. 20% O2, max. 40% He) which is activated by factory reprogramming.
