HOw does the VR3 cable seal?

Where's the o ring hidden in the Fischer connectors?

It's not on ther plug; is it right at the bottom of the socket?

yes its at the bottom of the socket, but its not a face seal, its still a barrel seal. Its a royal pain in the ass to change, thanfully if you keep things lubed up correctly and clean its not an issue..

I recommend putting dome silicon grease around the outside of the connector at the bottom.. if you get any nicks on this finished piece.. it will leak, and you need a new connector...

I can't even see the damn thing never mind replacing it.

Presumably do have to diassemble the socket to get at it.

The one time I had to replace it I used a soft pick.. I knew it was there but couldn't see it either!

most important thing is to clean and grease it from time to time

we got 3 fishers leaking before we started to do the above: now it is no more a problem!

(and changing a connector on a VR3 is not under warranty :-(

Its just visible with a 10x hand lens and a strong light, I can vouch for it being a pain to replace (use something to guard the central signal core to avoid nicking the new O-ring).
