| VR3 Question I am diving with both the VR3 and HSE. When I get to my 15 ft stop on my VR3 the diver on the line goes away and it does not give me any more shallower stops. My HSE will give me time at 10 ft but I can't go to that stop until my VR3 clears at 15 ft which seems to take forever. I have been told that on the VR3 you have to go shallower than your 15 ft stop to get the diver on the line to see your other stops. This does not make sense to me that you have to violate your 15 ft stop to see your shallower stops. Thanks for your input. |

| Re: VR3 Question What's your last-stop depth set to on the VR3? Make sure its set to 10'. If its set to 15' then you will be forced to hang there for a VERY long time as your total time (assuming at 100% FO2) will be the combination of the 10 and 15' stop times. |

I will check that out, I did not know you had a choice on setting your shallow stop. Thanks |

| Re: VR3 Question Get to DVo at the top level display, hold left, you'll get the page where the last stop depth is set. It can be chosen from 10, 15 or 20'. |

Default is 15', so that's why it's showing a 15' stop. Karl is correct regarding the adjustment of the last stop depth....assuming you have version 3.0 or later on your VR3. If it's earlier than that, I think it's in the setup page....maybe(I don't remember exactly where it was when I had the earlier version) ![]() Mike |

Dont have an answer why, its just one of those things I have done for years and it seems to work for me. |

When you reach your 15' stop and the diver on the line apears, you have 2 choices. 1. stay at 15' until the time clears, if you do this then the diver on the line will go away. 2. follow the diver on the line, ie keep the diver at the same position on the line all through the stop, this will mean doing an extremely slow assent, the people at delta P seem to believe it is better, on shallow stops, to off gas in a slow assent rather than just hang at fixed point. ie it can take you over half an hour to assend from 15' to 10'. I believe this is designed to keep the ppN2 and ppHe gradients at the optimum level for off gassing. So if you just hang at a fixed depth during your time at that depth the off gassing gradient will be reducing, whereas if you do an extremely slow assent, the gradient can be held at an optimum level. Hope this helps
