VR-3 and VPM B/E Deployment

I wanted to share a response that I just received from Delta-P in reference to the VPM B/E deployment in the VR-3.

************************************************** *******

Question - Is Proplanner being updated to allow you to create VPM bail out tables?

Response - Yes, we hope to release next year.

Question - Is the deployment of VPM B/E exact or has additional conservation been
added to it??

Response - It is an algorithm based on VPM B/E. The shape of the dive profile will be similar but I would expect times to differ.

Question - What conservation settings on the VPM B/E software should I use to simulate what I should expect with the VR-3?

Response - It is unlikely that you will find a direct correlation I'm afraid. You can always use the Dive Planning mode on the VR3 to see what profile you will get before a dive and compare that to your VPM B/.E software.

Is there anyone on the list that can do a couple of comparisons for the rest of us or shed some light on things.

Dive Safe....

Mark

That would be very useful to those of us VR3 owners who are contemplating whether or not to update (including me!)

Barry posted one example several weeks ago. It's the same one that is now on the Delta-P website. Hopefully he has access to others or a unit that he can create a couple of new ones from.
