missing central lines on VR3 screen

hello, has anyone opened his VR3 himself to solve this problem: seems to be well known problem: bad/loose connector between print and screen: seems to happen often.

but to ship to delta-p and get it back: can take 8 to 12 weeks!!!! (we had this delay more then ones!!) (and w're in Belgium, so next to their door!!)

Good news bad news, I think it requires a screen replacement rather than a bit of soldering, so it would need to go back. However, when I sent mine back for this it was turned arround in less than a week. I suggest you phone ahead and send it to someone specific.

Praise where it is due...when I sent my VR3 back for an upgrade I had it back ..door to door ... in 4 days.

Can't really complain with that kind of service I feel.

Same for me, however I never had such a problem.

Hi Paul,

I have already open a VR3 few times, the screen is connected to the main board with a flat ribbon cable type. You can remove it and put it back if you suspect a bad connection but I do not think it is the source of your problem.

Very surprise to hear about 8 to 12 weeks, in my case from Switzerland (door to door) it takes about 2 weeks depending on how busy they are!
