Vr2 Question

Hello,
Just got an OC nitrox/ normoxic trimix vr2. I understand I will need the Draeger interface and activation of the I/O port for CCR. Will I need anything else, like a specific PIN# to go from OC to CCR, or SCR? The interface/ IO activation are sold as one item, and I don't want to still be missing some level of pin upgrade.

Hi

You will need a PIN upgrade to use the VR2 in CCR mode! There is no special SCR mode with the VR computers. When talking about SCR most of the users have an external O2 cell connected to the VR computer (XFunc = ON, XDec = ON) and use it in OC mode.

Yes unfortunately you will need to perform 2 upgrades.

1st for the CCR mode constant PPO2 diving.
2nd to open up the I/O port for external cell connection.

If using SCR you only need the 2nd and switch XON and DEC on, the puter will to use the FiO2 measured for deco or ndl's.

Guys, This is exactly what I needed to know. So it would seem the Drager interface and I/O activation is perfect for SCR, and then just one more upgrade a little later...
