![]() | VR3 factory reset hey all, i bought myself a 2nd hand VR3 recently and it's just arrived. is there a way to factory reset it so i can start from scratch (i.e. dive logs, dive time etc)? Any other advice for a new VR3 owner? The buttons seem a bit 'sticky' Cheers ![]() |

Clean switch/spring & case oriface with white vinegar & flush with freshwater. Allow to dry then spray some WD 40 into hole & reassemble. Log book dives will not change. Until you get to 100 that is & then they will be all yours. Did you get the manual with the purchase?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 factory reset No manual To reset to factory defaults including clearing out the log, remove battery for at least half an hour. All the PINs that have been preloaded will stay only volatile memory (gases, logs) will be lost. Use the main PIN to overwrite personal data (once you enter main PIN, cursor will jump to begining of personal data fields). Pretty straight forward if a bit bit tedious with the data entry....I think i can get it from the VR3 site... I'll have to download it tonight Any way to change the personal details? Do i have to reenter the pins to do that? Cheers for the info/advice |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 factory reset Hi, Removing the battery will only delete the logs and gas list on older versions of the VR3. With revision C boards and starting with the 5.xx firmware and 2007v the logs and not 100% sure about it and the gas list are no longer deleted. There is no way for users do to a complete factory reset. E.g. even if you are upgrading the VR3 to a new firmware the usage counter remains. DINspiration |

![]() | Re: VR3 factory reset It's 2.1CXR... no plans to upgrade it at this point Yeah the data entry method makes me want to eat scissors, but i guess you don't have to do it often. Anyway thank you all for the information, much appreciated. |
