Exclamation Vr Button help need urgent

Hi all.
I've got a VR computer with old style buttons. one of the buttons poped out and now every time i press it down, it seams a bullet poping out of the box.
Does any body now how to fix this.
the button doesn't have the wire to hold the spring like the new style computers. the back of the box is completly flat, and the inside hole have a carving where the button seams to hold, but i don't know how.
I can't go diving with it in this conditions and I'm missing a few holidays diving.
Any solutions? I'm not near any VR dealer.
Best Regards

Re: Vr Button help need urgent

There is a small wire c clip that locates in a groove cut indide the hole that the buton fits into, unless you found this when the button popped out you'll need to get another from Delta P, they usd to do a buton kit for about 14quid, from memory. If you did find it you can use something thin to relocate it after you put the button and spring in, you'll need to hold the button in against the spring, I used the thin end of a small cable tie to push mine back in.

The newer arrangement isn't much better, I've seen the external wire clips pop out too, shame for such a good computer.

Good Luck

Re: Vr Button help need urgent

A trick I’ve used on my older VR3, given to me by VR3 US rep Tammi: When you get you new circlip, flatten it JUST A LITTLE with a hammer on a flat steel surface before you install it. Mine haven’t popped out since. Once flattened, the clips are almost impossible to remove.

Also, if you’re brave:
Another method is then needed to get them out (say, to replace a broken button). What I came up with: I drilled a tiny hole from the back of the case into the circlip groove. Hole allows me to use a stainless pick to depress the clip to get it started out. Hole needs to be precisely placed and no bigger than the groove is wide. I’ve used it twice now for button cleaning & maintenance. Works great.

Hi guys. Does any of you have a image / dimensions of the circlips?
I'm having a huge difficulty to find one that fits.
