![]() | VR3 battery? I live in Vancouver BC Canada and all I can find is 1.5V lithium batteries. Which lasts for about 20 min during my dive. Where do you VR3 divers get your 3.6V batteries from? Thanks Henry |

Henry,Thanks Henry If you are only getting 20 mins from a 1.5 battery from new it sound like the Vr3 you have needs attention. I have seen this problem twice before and it is an earth connection that can cause batteries to discharge very quickly. Even with the backlight 'on' you should still get 100 hrs; http://vr3.co.uk/vr3/main.php?content=comparison Cheers

Apparently it's somewhat common, I gather, and the fix was something they had to resolder on the board. FWIW, here in the US, Radio Shack sells 3.6V AA sized cells which work great. |

I don't see a (RS) up North, but you can also check with a computer store as this is used as a computer backup Battery. Or see if you can get one of us to the south to ship up a couple. As Camerone states in his post it has to go back to Delta P for service. Thanks in advance Henry It does not appear to be a common problem as I have seen only two in the hundreds of Vr3's I have distributed. Cheers

Have you ever gotten 100hrs with the backlight always on with a 1.5v battery? I certainly never have. I'm lucky to get 10 dives(about 25-30 hours) out of a 1.5v(and everybody I dive with that uses a VR3 has the same battery life) with the backlight always on. I switched to 3.6v lithium, and thus far have gotten 50-60 dives(100-150 hours) so far, and I always have the backlight on(I dive primarily in caves). That battery was still showing 3.2v when it went back to Delta P last week due to the problem I was having with it....and I'm sure they'll replace the battery, so I'll have to start from 0 hours again to determine how long the battery lasts me. The battery that is in it is the one that was in it when Delta P sent it back to me after a software upgrade(I forget the brand, but not one I've ever seen in the US).Mike |

| Team Kinky Current Rebreather/s: | Re: VR3 battery? I use a 1.5v lithium (cheap and readily available from 7 day shop). I run the unit with backlight on. I tend to get a season out of them, 120+ hours. They are cheap though so I change them every 6-9 months, just to make sure. Juz
