I really feel for ya man! I wish that I knew anything at all that could help you, but never had a VR3.

Hopefully someone on here will help you out.

How is the plate working out with the Optima? Jill put pics and a description on her website: Rebreather Pro

Thanks, I love the plate, it works great and is a nice edition to the trailer several people at the Georgia Dive show asked about it...Jill was speaking at the show.

The guys at DR Express offered to help,(where it came from) I may have to buy a plane ticket!

Good luck with DR Express, they seem like great guys!!! Always done a great job for me!

I'm just amazed it took 4 hours and 29 minutes for the truth to be revealed!

Re: VR3 Help w/Dive Rite FX Optima

I took the suggestion and started to remove the battary to reset...note-started--I could not get it to loosen. Now I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I can unscrew a cap- if my wife shows me which way to turn it!. Few choose words later it finally broke loose and i think I have found my problem. The battary has exploded and is stuck in the cap now...I have installed a new cap and battary and will try diving again this weekend.
Thanks everyone for your help...Sometimes it is just the simple things!
