VR3 SAFE in pO2 modes

Hey all,

I was fiddeling around w/ my VR3 the other day running some diveplans, and it appears when in constant pO2 mode, the SAFE parameter has no impact on deco algorithim... I imagine, the setpoint is overriding any reduction set by the SAFE parameter...

Anyone have effective strategies for introducing conservatism while maintaining some effective tracking of CNS/OTU's using the computer....?

Easy, add a 3m/min ascent from the first deep stop instigated by the VR3. Add 1min stops every three m in between the stops recommended by the VR3 from 21m and up.

Finally clear the VR3 at 6m and spend minimum 6 mins getting from 6 to the surface.

I always ran my VR3 on zero safety and padded it out in this way. I wanted the VR3 to show me the minimum deco i needed and Id add the rest depending on how i felt.

Just remember the TTS when you leave the bottom will be wrong as you will be doing a slow ascent and adding stops all of which will extend your shallow deco time.

On ccr this is irrelevant but there is obviously the issue of bailout gas TTS.
