It does do CCR and a 4th cell can be connectedYou can install up to 10 pre-set gases in the VR3’s gas list; air, oxygen or any nitrox, trimix or heliox mixture. In the VR2 you can install up to 4 gases, air and nitrox mixtures only. VR 2 Decompression Computer Last edited by Shaunzxr : 17th February 2008 at 23:47. |

Info appreciated ![]() Hi Steve, The Vr2 can be used with four gasses and it will do CCR with Air or Normoxic Trimix and an external cell can also be connected and displayed on the Vr2 as a PPO2 reading. The Vr2's housing is made from a solid type of Plastic (making it cheaper) and the Vr3 is machined from a solid block of aliminum. The Vr2 is only available in the USA with a color screen and it cost's $1300 USD for the B4 model - CCR / Normoxic Trimix, the Vr3 in comparison for a C4 - CCR / Trimix color model would cost $1817. Some more details can be found here; Rebreather World Store

The buttons on both the Vr3 & Vr2 have to be lubricated occasionally and removed and cleaned now and again also.

![]() | Re: VR2 vs VR3 So apart from the gas number limitation and the plastic case, it's essentially the same deal? Would the VR3 be any better than the VR2 for hooking up to an SCR? |
