VR3 button installation.

I just got my new buttons and I discarded my old ones all ready. I forgot which button goes in what hole, could someone check their and let me know?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: VR3 button installation.

As far as I'm aware they are both the same - try them and see!

Re: VR3 button installation.

One is longer than the other. At least mine are.

Re: VR3 button installation.

Just pulled mine out to see (though I have replaced at least one since I bought it), both buttons are the same length 1.25inch. If yours are different lengths I'd suggest putting the longer one on the left, just because of the profile of the case. They are just encapsulated magnets so as long as they work its not vital, just sticks out more or less.

Re: VR3 button installation.

Longer button goes in the left side.

Cool Re: VR3 button installation.

After many replacements ( the guys on the boat are always bashing the computer around and smacking buttons off) I decided to build a stainless steel version of the switches.
Lemme know if you'd be interested in a guaranteed for life set of switches for the VR3. Like all things here at my dive invention company... DIVE STRAIGHT DOWN... WE LIFETIME GUARANTEE EVERYTHING... REELS, SWITCHES, COVERS, EVERYTHING. Of course, our stuff is PRIMO HEAVY DUTY (translation slightly heavier than the competition)... but that is mostly because of how rough things get in the real world. This goes for anyone else as well. We also have a take on the connector housing that has a bad habit of getting its thumb tab smashed in. Most of what we do is stainless, but there is the occasional aviation aluminum in there mostly.

How much you asking for a set of the SS buttons? A couple of us down here in FL may be interested.

Re: VR3 button installation.

The buttons are exactly the same as those of the VR3 manufactured by Delta P, only that they are "unbreakable". These still rely on the stainless steel spring system used by VR3 which allows you to spread the spring should it get a bit "weak". The price is $40 USD plus shipping and do not include the springs or pins. Because those little beauties from Delta P work wonderfully. We ship out of Lebanon where all the equipment is hand turned, trued, and tested. We prefer to send things via DHL.
I would post pictures of our entire line but being inept on the web has prevented that.
Once again our stuff is guaranteed for LIFE, it is a bit costly but takes a beating, thank the Egyptian guy who abuses my stuff constantly.
Toughest of all is our reels. Those can have a pony dropped on them from above using the line and safety sausage. I've even been know to kick them around in the parking lot to win a bet.
It took a while working out the kinks for all of these little knick knacks but it's been a pleasure all the way.
