VR3 screen/ pixcel failue

My VR3 has dropped out about 5mm of the screen in the middle. The lines that let you select gas's and shows deco stops. All kinda handy info. Has anyone had this? Can I get a new screen and drop it in

? or do I have to send to to delta P

. It is a C4 older(2003) buhlman model.

I had a colour VR3 last year and the screen started to go at the top. I had the unit replaced with the monochrome version and am very happy.

Send it back!

Mine took a knock, and a single pixel is out all the way across, not impacting ***ntionality/readability. I emailed Delta-P and back in '2006 it was Ł45.00 to have it replaced + shipping, etc..

I had the same problem, one line went blank. I send it to Delta P and they replaced it for free.

I was using one when the whole screen disappeared! I gave it a smart couple of taps and it came back. Might be worth a try...

Same for me. A band disappeared (1/5 of the screen). Delta p replaced the screen. But not for free...

Have a hunt around the yorkshire diver forums, there's a thread there that shows how to open up and make sure the connections are working on a VR$. Rather simple and if you don't make a hash of it, they'll never know if it does need a holiday back home. The alternative is you fixed it while watching telly...

Oh dear, join the club mate. At first mine was only like a pixel wide across but I'm sure its getting wider. Apparently Delta P replace the LCD for about 40 quid.

I might send mine in to get done when I'm in the UK in January, get my switch replaced at the same time

Hi...

I have the same problem on my Ouroboros primary handset... The "funny" thing is, that some of the lines come and go during a dive...

AFAIK you can't buy a spare display and replace it your self...

Anyway, I think when I would change mine, I'll go for the coulorscreen, and then it has to go back anyway...
