which computer is the best VR3 or HS explorer ?

I don't think they build their own computers, at least not the newer ones.
Those are available in other countries under other brand names ... so the
manufacturer would have to get into pO2 algorithms.

Unless JM does a deco only version of their electronics ... now that the
handsets don't come off anymore.

Interesting.... I saw my first real live Hammerhead the other day and it did occur to me that a non-CCR-controlling version sold as a deco computer might be rather popular, its built like a tank and I haven't heard many gripes about the deco?

I know its not JM core business but its not far off the beaten track!

FWIW- One of my buddies backed his car over a Sunnto Vyper and it didn't break either (strap fell off but computer was fine) I don't think driving cars over computers proves much, I'd be impressed if someone drove a train over one and it survived!!!

At DEMA in '03 I believe I talked with Kevin, and back then he said one of the HH mods he was thinking about was adding deco to the secondary handset (pO2 readout). So I'm pretty sure the thought has occured to him.

No need (or even way) to do it if you're busy assembling Hammerheads, but when the Dive Rite craziness is all sorted out he might consider it again. You never know.

Over the last couple of years CCRs have taken off quite a bit and the options on pO2 computers are quite limited.
