| hmmm even Im thinking Im talking shit now... too much time on forums. My point was supposed to read as "unless you dil flush, I dont see how you can validate your mv/Po2 display"

| Right let me see if i can think of an example - this is totally made up. Lets just imagine for arguments sake 2 cells are failing high for some total freak occurance and are voting out the correct cell. So my PPo2 displays would be showing say 1.6, 1.6 and say 1.3 - I check my mvolt displays real quick expecting to be shown 53.1ish 51.2ish and 54.2ish if I was at 1.3 cos thats what my cells usually show but I am seeing just say 65ish, 65ish and 54.2ish. Now I am very aware of how much O2 I have been adding and dont think I have added any where near enough o2 to get to 1.6 but looking at these mv I can not tell if 2 are failing high or one is failing low - so I would dill flush. So mv have saved me nothing here but it also has not endangered me. OK Example 2 and this is far more likely in this one cell 2 is going to fail low. So all of a sudden my PPo2 displays are showing 1.3 , .3 , 1.3 I have been going along steadily and adding o2 just like I usually do no current no difference no burning up o2 and so I am fairly sure than Cell 2 has failed low. So I check my mv display and I see 53.1ish 11ish and 54.2ish - for me thats the evidence I need to know that cell 2 has failed low. I would not bother with a Dil Flush. Although like I said I was taught cells fail low and my understanding of hos they work makes me think they should fail low to. Actually this got me thinking perhaps mv is more valuable when you have that sub concious cross check of how regularly you have been adding O2 or rather than letting yoru computer and a solenoid do it. | See what you've started Joseph. Its either this or write a position paper on end to end solutions for the IMS space. ![]()

| I have sold several VR3's and Explorers as well as use both regularly. My reply is repair service related only. Both work well for me, so I advise you to consider location for service. In my experience both have the same quantity of failures, some past issue and some present issues. Both companies have provided quality service, however my choice is weighted in favor of the Explorer due to my location in North America where it is faster and less expensive to service. I have never seen a bill for service repair of an explore (self or my customers). Side note for me, it is more intuitive to push the buttons on the VR3 rather than memorize a sequence of button pushes on the Explorer. However when I get out of the water after deep mix dives I notice less niggles with the Explorer stops. ron |

| FWIW 3 weeks ago at Bikini there were 3 VR3s and one HS Explorer. The VR3s all performed flawlessly throughout six days of 2 deco dives per day. The HS explorer cacked out on the first dive of the second day and was "retired" by its owner.

Like asking a child in an old fashioned sweet shop, which one he fancies the most. You need more than one toy. If you only have one toy, then just pick one, and learn to like it. My $0.02: I have an Explorer from the first pre-production batch, never upgraded, never let me down, never repaired, it works. Only gripe is the buttons are rather sharp on my delicate fingers (it hurts to press them, and in Winter using 8mm gloves I cannot press them). Cheers, Alex |

| Total NOOB Current Rebreather/s: | So, does anyone know if Dive Wrong is gonna release an O2 sensing or set point computer for use with their O2ptima? Seems to me they wouldn't want to let their business go the other way right? Just curious if anyone has heard anything... -T |
