| Re: 4th cell - is it worth it? Hi, i use the narkedat90 holder. Very impressiv quality and very solid build. I use a shearwater gf and have done the first dive yesterday (35m / 60 min). Works perfect. See pic´s here: http://www.rebreatherworld.com/inspi...hearwater.html Cheers Markku ![]() |

The narked@90 product (Beanie 4th cell holder) is excellent. It allows easy cell changing as well. A 4th cell with the VR3 does give a fully independent backup to the classic's electronics but does not alarm so you have to keep checking it! You also need the Fischer cable and an upgrade to the VR3 to allow pO2 monitoring and real time deco calculation based on the pO2.it is very expensive- is it worth it? |

And the shearwater read all 3 cells !!Ok you need the cable from bruce directly. But you can turn off your electronic and fly the unit manually. I have done this for training and it works very good. I don´t see the wreck and the big fish and the under water nuclear explosion because i look every 5 seconds on my shearwater display but hey.. nothing is perfect. Cheers Markku ![]() |

I have had two lots and never succesfully used the deltap y-holder and got it to calibrate properly. I like the idea but same as the rest of the peeps above, i would go for the beanie/narked cell holder if i was to go back that route The deltaP holder pushes the hose up about 3in so many people buy a spare hose and cut it (thats what i did) - another £35 it is a lot of money for what it is when you add it all up. vr3 upgrade cell holder new cell new short hose etc. etc. nice idea but had two sets, sold two sets ash |

| Re: 4th cell - is it worth it? I use the John Routley?Beanie adapter. Excellent piece of kit. Easy calibration, and makes cell changes a doddle. I had a cell error on a dive - the VR£ plumbed in gave me an independant 3rd cell reading. Peace of mind. ![]() |

| Re: 4th cell - is it worth it? thanks for all the replies. i like the sound of the narked@90 solution. having a bit of a cashflow crisis since buying the unit and paying for the MOD1. i'm considering buying the hardware now and getting the pin for my VR£ when funds allow. i cant believe how much delta p charge for a bloody number!! |
