How to wire VR3 into one of three original unit sensors?

I want to wire my VR3 into one of the original 3 sensors on my homebuild.

The 3 cells are wired into a Hammerhead secondary with HUD (which works great BTW)

What I want to do it to T into one of the cells so it can also feed a VR3 to give me real time deco and independant ppo2 display.

I guess its a case of wiring in some resistors?

Can anyone advise where they go (I presume one in each wire coming off the original cell wires to the vr3?_) and what size resistors to use?

Cheers
Mike

I don´t know why you would need any resistors. I think VR3 has a proper load on the computer side for the cell to work... Maybe...

Hello Mike,

The cell that you will use for both HH and VR3 will see two resistor loads in parallel. I guess it will work OK but manufacturer specifications will change a little bit. Ask Teledyne (or AI) if those changes will be important.
Otherwise, just wire the VR3 on the Molex (or jack) connector of the cell.

Re: How to wire VR3 into one of three original unit sensors?

thanks for the replys so far . I thought Id need some resistors in there so as to isolate the effect of one monitor going down from effecting the other - but now I thinka bout it that shouldnt be a prob as its not eccr and the other 2 cells are independant.

so, can I just T into the original sensor wires? Nothing else needed?

Works so far here on a rEvodream and VR-3 combo.... so try it.

Should work simply by making a parallel connection. There isn´t really any wasy way to isolate those ppO2 meters if they share a cell.

I'd use a couple of Op-Amps as buffers.
