VR3 cell reading

HI ALL
I have just got a dragger sensor for my vr3 which displays the fo2 does any one know if you can change this to read in po2? I am sure that I have read that the vr3 can read in po2.
Why change/ Well I do not like having to remember the MOD for that mix that I am breathing, and yes I know that you should use the tank mix for the MOD.
Any help would be much appreciated. David :D

Re: VR3 cell reading

Hi

The VR3 displays the enternal O2 Cell reading as PO2 only in CCR mode! As long as your are using the VR3 as open circuit/scr, you will only get the FO2.

David,

While you COULD run your VR3 in CCR mode while actually diving SCR, it wouldn't be a very good idea.

As long as you stayed out of deco, I'm pretty sure it would work OK. However, once you enter deco, all of the predictions for stop times and TTS would be far shorter than what you would actually experience.

cheers...

Re: VR3 cell reading

David, if your VR£ has Xmode enabled this will give you a ppo2 screen saver, its what I use with my VR£ on my dolphin and it is great.

Re: VR3 cell reading

If you have a new(2007) VR£, in the display setting you will have 3 options, n mode, q mode and x mode, they configure the screen info in different ways.

If you have an older model I think you can purchase the unlock codes for these modes.

Re: VR3 cell reading

Hi

you will need to upgrade the VR3 to the 2007v firmware! It is not possible just to unlock the this feature. Integral part of the new 2007v firmware is the new Quick Start function with the Q (Quick), N (Normal) and X (Expert) mode. Within the Setup Screen you will have a new option Qstrt to select the mode. The 2007v firmware requires a revision C mainboard. If you have an older VR3 with a revision B board, you will need to upgrade the system board as well.
