It's about the same run time and profile as vpmb/e conservatism +3.I'm familiar with V-planners implementation of VPM-BE and use that at +4 for cold norsk wreck dives with good success for the past 18 months. Prior to that, since 1998 I was using Proplanner. After buying a YBOD a few weeks ago, I finally decided to try out a VR3. We have lots of great multilevel wrecks around Bergen, and I would be interested in going back to using a computer for these dives. I'm finding a serious lack of feedback from VR3 users who have upgraded to VPM! I know it's out! Has anyone used it? How does it compare to your tables? Matt This weekend we were diving some 85m wrecks in Falmouth. I was using Boris (vr3/buhlman) and the VPM Vr3, my girlfriend was using her new vpm vr3. We did about 20min on the bottom at 85m. I did the deep stops on the Boris, then meandered up slowly. At the 6m stop, my vpm vr3 cleared about 15min before Boris. But my girlfreinds vpm vr3, on a higher ppo2 of 1.25 but with the same other settings, still gave 20mins. We cleared all of my stops, then about 5 mins of hers and came up. Total run time was 121 minutes. Unfortunately, I still got bent. So the next day, gf goes in with my vpm vr3 and hers, set exactly the same. Mine cleared 20 minutes before hers, 123 minutes run time for a 20 minute bottom time at 83m. Weird. Next day, though, 73m for 22 min. Run time 136 minutes, this time with hers clearing 20 min before mine! I was going to upgrade boris to vpm - but I think I'll get Ken to check these out first. m |

| Classic KISSer Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Vpm Vr3 Interesting and sorry to read you got bent... I've had my VPM VR3 for a few weeks and been able to do a whole 2 dives on it. One was a non-deco 20m dive and all seemed fine. The other was 34min @ 48m. I had the VR3 set to zero conservatism, and followed it up pretty well bang on the stop depths (rather than the man on a string).Post dive, I was a little niggly in the left elbow, something I have learned to deal with on a regular VR3 by adding more stops in 3m increments after the mandated deep stops. I might add that following the original VR3 leaving this world to 'sleep with the fishes' all my dives were on tables (VPMB/E +2) and I've felt fine every single time. The VPM VR3 is close but not quite with V-planner tables. I wish they'd stop fu**ing around wth the algorithm and let us do that instead! I'll give it some more time and dives, but I may just end up having an expensive bottom timer and tables in future...
