Re: VR3 Problems.

At least you got in the water I switched mine on the other day on the boat & it told me to do 12minutes deco @ 66 metres I hadn't dived for a week !

Ain't that the truth, Andy!

Re: VR3 Problems.

For one VR3 problems, it's that it gives a whole pile more deco than needed, or than the dive planner function gives.

This is happening in both the Buhlmann and VPM algorithms.

VPM - giving almost double the length of 6m stop compared to both the dive planner and V-planner on VPMB/E +4.

Buhlmann - gives about 8 minutes more at 6m than the dive planner. This was after a 46m dive for 26 minutes. However, following the 'man on the rope' cut most of this off, but I suspect the dive planner mode is expecting one to follow this dude - all the way to the surface by the end of the 6m stop, or to the next stop depth as one clears the previous stop... rather than holding depth and then moving on up.

Lastly - after an additional 'test' dive in VPM to 48m for 30 minutes, and following a table for the last stop (19 minutes instead of 30!) I got the usual down arrow, but as my head cleared the water, it gave me a new 6m stop - 563 minutes... then complained about being bent.

That Liquid Vision unit...? Hmmm?

Re: VR3 Problems.

Liquivision now out June 20th. And remember the # 1 rule of diving. Liquivision has also incresed the price significantly. I do want one. Not holding my breath though. My VR3's continue to give good service.

Re: VR3 Problems.

I've been diving my VR3 for almost a year now and haven't had any issues at all. I haven't really noticed any extra deco compared to other diver I'm diving with. The microbubble stop are a bit of a PITA but when the shit hits the fan I'll omit those and carry one with the actual deco stops.

To be perfectly honest i don't actually know - i spoke with VR£ and they suggested sending it back in for a diagnostic check and that should sort the problems out i hope.

I'll keep yous informed of the outcome tho......

James.
