Finally:

At last we have replaced our old Prodive and Software Suite downloading software with a new system.
AND we are finally launching a new USB to 7 pin I/O connector cable.
We know you have been waiting for this for a long time and are grateful for your admirable patience.
PROLINK 2007
The new system is called Prolink 2007. The Software is free of charge and will shortly be available as a free download from our www.vr3.co.uk website.
In the meantime, it can be downloaded NOW free of charge from here http://www.ccrb.co.uk/vrdownloads.html
The folder you download includes:-
The Prolink 2007 Dive Logging Software
Dos Proplanner Decompression Planning Software All Required Drivers
NEW USB TO 7 PIN I/O CONNECTOR
The new USB to 7 pin I/O connector cable, (item C43 on our Price list, see amendment attached), comes packaged in a dedicated zippered pouch together with a Pocket CD-R containing the Prolink 2007 dive-logging software, Dos Proplanner decompression software and Drivers.
There is still an Infra Red option (Item C42) available also for those customers who might prefer Infra Red or who have older A board VR3s with 2 pin connectors and the USB to Infra Red cable also comes packaged in the new pouch with the Prolink 2007 Software.
Note that you only buy the PIN and hardware /software package together if you already know the Serial Number of the VR computer it is going to be used with.
NO MORE C5s
The C5 and C5a Software Suite packages are now obsolete. Please remove them and associated downloading software items from your price list and replace them with the attached.
Any existing outstanding orders for C5 Software Suite packages will be filled with the new product, at the new pricing.

Does this supprot the existing serial cable with Delt-P IR converter or do I have to order the USB-IR version for this ??

Just got of the phone from Al at DeltaP . I have a V2.1CXR VR£ .
With the new Prolink software you can only download the last dive you have done

.
If you do 2 dives in 1 day then try to download you will not get the 1st dive ! There are no plans at present to fix this software problem (only by upgrading to newer VR£ software

).

So be warned

Just use the old prolink software?? I had no problem down loading the last 20+ dives using that.

Hi

I have the 2.1xb software too.

When I download profiles on the old pro log I get variable set point Po2 plotting, and not fixed as I expected. Spoke to DP about it and they suggested this new 2007 software. I downloaded it and it can talk to my VR but it wont upload the PIN, or download the dives.

They have no idea why I'm getting a variable plot. It was suggested that I upgrade my VR, mmmm I thought new software, o rings replaced, replace the 2 pin socket, new board. Sounds good - cost £675 ! So my VR, which I thought was future proof, is, as long as you take everything out and replace it all!.

It was suggested that times have moved on, so has technology, and needed to move my VR on. It wasn't designed for CCR apparently and being able to download!

Well - thats odd because I bought it with a PIN for SCR and CCR.

At the moment I am not impressed by the whole thing, and the upgrade prolink is no use to me at all.

The stunning thing is a new software to be Beta tested

. However on the CD They are sending out there is a ancient DOS program

. It seems the assumption is that everyone uses still old PC beside new machines at home.
Since Proplanner is used by VR3 folks would it not be progress to integrate such a program into Prolink 2007

IMO, for the money VR3 users are spending for their computers; there could be a bit less bits and pieces. I am rather looking at a complete and good working product.
