| I want to open it up as it seems to be developing a tiny leak (tiny smear of liquid on part of the screen). Is the VR3 "calibrated" in some way - and will this be affected by opening it up? Last edited by Mdemon : 9th April 2007 at 22:05. |

Is the VR3 "calibrated" in some way - and will this be affected by opening it up? if you are talking about the depth.. no..its a factory (from intersema) calibrated sensor that Delta-p Purchases.. All the calibration data is stored within the sensor. If you remove the sensor (its held in place by 2 screws) you just have to make sure the pressure is about equal on both sides.. When its uneven the pressure may be reported above normal.. all you need to check is the the surface pressure is about what is expected..

| Many thanks Joe - I thought you'd know! All cleaned, greased and good to go. The ambient pressure reads about 10mB less than it did yesterday but then maybe that's just the weather. Will test it properly on the next dive. |
