Clinton dive, 7/13/09

Just a quick note that Tony and i and a certain other diver, did the Clinton today. Other than the ripping surface current, ripping bottom current, green water, lousy visibility, 68 deg F bottom temp, and contemplating having to cut the anchor line free of the wreck, it was a stellar dive.

It was interesting that the current was from the north, a little unusual this time of year, but 5 miles to the north, the water was very blue and clear with a ripping current from the south in 135 ft of water. we went by and talked to Enzo on Scubatyme while he was anchored on the Sea Emporer, and the current was pumping there from the south also, in 70 ft of water.

Still, beats the shit out of going to work!

See, I told you that I was a good luck charm. You always have great vis and no current when I am on the boat.

That's what you get for diving on a day that I have to work. The nerve, it's like you think that you own the boat or something.

Whadda ya mean "certain other diver"?

I have to assume that you are trying to protect the identity of someone that does not wish to be associated with you. I can understand their concern.

Ok, so enough time has passed for soaking the camera and editing, now where are the pics???

No pics unfortunately. We saw the wake coming off the back of the boat and decided to not bring camera gear.

Thank god, because if I did, myself or the camera would not have come back.

What about topside pics??? I need to have a serious talk with Ryan, because his staff should never come back from a dive without pics!

Dude, we're lucky we came back with our lives!

There is no orange cup coral left on the wheelhouse of the Clinton thanks to the anchor line.
