CCR in Bonaire!

If you wanted to take advantage of longer/deeper dives, then shore diving would be your best bet. Klein Bonaire was only about a 10 min. boat ride. Well worth the short ride!

Thanks for the report!

Karen and I are headed to Bonaire for a long trip in September. I'm taking the Meg with, so the info is great. We are staying at BuddyDive as well, and I talked to Walt some time ago and plan to give him a shout later this month as well.

Things I've picked up from you guys that have done Bonaire:

Don't take cylinders; rent them from Walt
Don't take sorb; buy it from Walt
Get on a rotation schedule for full bottles
Do the Windjammer wreck
Take a good spares kit

I can get my Meg canister/scrubber, head, loop, lungs, VR3, and regs into a standard carry on (the one I use weekly for my job) that fits in all overheads. My Meg has the short cave can, so the head fit nicely all packaged up. Our OC regulators will go in backpacks with cameras and any other high dollar gear. This way, all the high value stuff is with us the whole time.

Karen will be putting her high value stuff in a carry on as well, and then we will check one large sports duffel with wet suits, harnesses, wings, and clothes.

We're really looking forward to the trip. It's a group of recreational divers, so I'll be taking it easy and enjoying the view.
