| Re: CCR in Bonaire! Thanks for the report. Did you have any problems transporting your Rebreather from the US to Bonaire? The way things seem to be going with the airlines I was just wondering, for future reference. Thanks, Al I have taken mine there a couple of times, no problems, except with the sorb. The Bonaire customs guys asked a lot of questions about it, but I got it in. Have your MSDS paperwork ready and be prepared to taste a bit of it. I always get stuff from Walt and think the next trip I will get the sorb from him as well. He does a wonderful job, and I would highly recommend him. The Jammer is a very nice wreck and the deco is so nice in the warm, fish filled water. Thanks Cory

The way things seem to be going with the airlines I was just wondering, for future reference. I haven't had any problems in Dallas/FTW, Cancun, Tampa, Orlando, or Bonaire which are the only airports my meg has flown into or out of.Thanks, Al I would never feel comfortable checking the rebreather and trusting it to an unattended TSA agent, but I no longer give it a second thought as carry on. I just plan on spending an extra 5-10 minutes at security. I did have a problem on my way home from Bonaire in April during my lay-over in San Juan. As we started to board the flight the gate agent said my carry on was to wide to fit in the over head but that was unrealted to the rebreather and was quickly resolved. |

The TSA didn't even open the crates I had checked. I'm still in transit on my way home to Salt Lake City, so I'll let you know if I have any trouble. So far, so good! Thanks, Al

From reading here on Rebreather World it seems Meg divers are using carry on for there units(rebreathers) . I have a Inspiration, and don't see that as an option, with the shell and all. No trip planned as of right now, but living in Minnesota I'll be thinking about where to go much sooner then I would like. Was thinking I might just have to do a road trip down to Florida. Al |
