Re: InnerSpace 2008

My brother and I were also at Inner Space. It was our second Inner Space, and the fourth time we've been back to Cobalt Coast/Divetech. So, I'll add my kudos to them: they're GGGRRREEEEAAAAT! The staff is awesome, it's an excellent place to dive, and it's especially nice for rebreather divers because they have everything you might need. Inner Space is nice for the long boat trips and the all-inclusive package. And the camraderie - this year we saw lots of familiar faces.

I made a short video of the dives I did that week. It doesn't begin to show everything (I didn't see the eagle rays that some people did!), but it gives you some idea of what it was like.

It's posted on my website at: Lisa Edwards Dive Video - Home

and on YouTube at

YouTube - LEDiveVideo's Channel

Enjoy!

Re: InnerSpace 2008

Lisa,

As always... Great video.

I don't know if it was just the way it was edited, but the lack of fish life looked kind of scary. Looked like something wiped out the fish population there, with the exception of the last reef.

What's going on down there...

Re: InnerSpace 2008

Lisa,

Great video! I will have to pull out some video from 1995 to see if the fish population is down. They did have some pretty heavy hurricanes in the last few years.

Re: InnerSpace 2008

Just gave me another incentive to want to go next year.

Awesome video Lisa!

BTW - Kind of weird seeing that guy diving with a black 55gal drum on his back.

That Sentinel is a big-ass Rebreather all right. Crazy long-looking hoses too. Robin's a nice fella though, so I'll stop commenting.

Re: InnerSpace 2008

Thanks guys!

I didn't really notice that there were less this time than any other time we've been there. But I've only been down there in the past year and a half, not before they got hit so bad with the hurricanes...Maybe that is it.

Re: InnerSpace 2008

Hi kybrt, that's right I don't shoot with lights, I use the orange filter in the housing and the white balance setting on the camcorder. In the Caymans, from about 40' and shallower, I think the orange filter is enough because the water there is usually so clear. It took me quite a bit of trial and error to get the white balance to where I liked it because I set the white balance above water using a piece of blue or turquoise cloth. So, it's a little bit of guesswork. But if I don't like the way it turns out, usually I can tweak it in Final Cut until I do.
