congrats for diving so deep and having no mishaps...surprising

The wreck is 147m deep and there are no guns to be seen at the bottom...why did you guys only swim around 'in the shallows'

did you get permission to use the nurkowanie image...no hard feelings but i think the owner would rather you didnt use it.

Funny quip about Christian finding the wreck ... ironically the 2 people who actually found the wreck met in London yesterday but hey whats a few facts amongst divers

nice moon walking video of leaking megs totally DIR
Hello Inspired trainer,

thanks for the congradulations. i am actually giving out exactly what i got from Christian Francis on this matter. i specifically tried to get a straight answer from him on this one.

the video was taken from a small camera, one that is rated to 40m, and Per actually took it down to 140M! no major issue, just the button got stuck at depth. we didn't take video on the deepest dive.

this is all i had, just to share with others. i guess it didn't take long ....

Spyros and team,

Awesome dives! I enjoyed the write up on the pdf as well. I'm looking forward to the full trip report.

I'd be curious to hear how you guys set up your Megs for this type of dive if it's different from a standard config? ie. run offboard or onboard DIL?, 4th cell?, O2 injection on the exhale CL?, etc...

Also curious about the performance of those Force Fins with all that gear???? (I thought I caught a glimpse of one of the divers wearing them in the video?)

Thanks for the inspiration! Well done!

Eric
Hey Eric,

thanks for the support. i guess it would be good when some achieve a feat and get well wishes rather than having "sh*t thrown at then in every way".

Pim was having the fins. apparently he likes them a lot and is happy with them. Megs had big S80 tanks for onboard 02 and dil, no other modifications. megs are really well build machines.

and for the rest, yes, we found there is a leak on the soleinoid. but what do you do? do you abort the dive? if is not a major issue, you have plenty of air, why not continue? you know it takes about 1.5 hours on the boat, to get there, and you never know when the sea will allow you to dive again... at least on our stay.

bottom line, is we had some fun, and i wanted to share this will all the others. i see so many others writing up reports, everybody is seems happy. why our team? is it because is us? please enjoy your diving, and aim to better and safer your diving.

Thanks to everybody who contributed.

Spyros

Re: HMS VICTORIA in Lebanon - just got back

Well done guys! Really looking forward to grow up and play this game as well...

Seriously now, what is important is that your team made it! Amazing and brilliant! You organised and performed a high difficulty level expedition! You put your hand deep in your pockets and manage to handle successfully all steps of the operation. Planing - Logistics - Execution - and even Sharing the Experience! This is the essence of diving. Have fun do not injure your self come back home happy! Problems do occur while underwater occasionally. Who did not have one? The outcome is the only safe criterion to tell if you took the right decision! Definitely the way you handle the whole expetition shows that you had good judgment, expertise, skills and you had the situation under control.

So Well done to the team of 5! Thank you for sharing this!

and yes, there was a small leak from a solenoid of Pim, but it was nothing major. fixed in 2 minutes after the dive.
...but could it have been seen and fixed before the dive? Reap the value of the experience, for your future dives.

i have to share the congradulations with my team, Cedric Verdier (i guess everybody knows Cedric), Pim Van Der Horst(Holland) Per Bjorn Ragvag(Norway) and Henrik Enckell (Sweden). it was an incredible stay in Lebanon with lots of fun and actually nothing else but diving. (diving talk, diving set up, diving planning, and actuall diving....)

thanks all.

Spyros
Absolutely right! Congradulations (and much green) to you all. What great news.
