| Re: HMS VICTORIA in Lebanon - just got back hey guys, as i said, i will be posting a full report of how things came to life, what to look out for, what not to etc. thanks for the wishes and the "well done" from everyone. and yes, there was a small leak from a solenoid of Pim, but it was nothing major. fixed in 2 minutes after the dive. the main man is Christian Francis from Lebanon Divers. this is the way to go through as if you try otherwise, you are up for a big suprise. Christian is the guy who found the wreck in 2004 and has been looking for it for about 8 years. Mark Ellyat was invited and actually took part on the diving once the wreck was "spotted" on GPS and sonar. i have to share the congradulations with my team, Cedric Verdier (i guess everybody knows Cedric), Pim Van Der Horst(Holland) Per Bjorn Ragvag(Norway) and Henrik Enckell (Sweden). it was an incredible stay in Lebanon with lots of fun and actually nothing else but diving. (diving talk, diving set up, diving planning, and actuall diving.... )thanks all. Spyros

| Re: HMS VICTORIA in Lebanon - just got back Spyro and gang congrats for diving so deep and having no mishaps...surprising The wreck is 147m deep and there are no guns to be seen at the bottom...why did you guys only swim around 'in the shallows' ![]() did you get permission to use the nurkowanie image...no hard feelings but i think the owner would rather you didnt use it. Funny quip about Christian finding the wreck ... ironically the 2 people who actually found the wreck met in London yesterday but hey whats a few facts amongst divers ![]() nice moon walking video of leaking megs totally DIR ![]() |

| Re: HMS VICTORIA in Lebanon - just got back Spyros and team, Awesome dives! I enjoyed the write up on the pdf as well. I'm looking forward to the full trip report. I'd be curious to hear how you guys set up your Megs for this type of dive if it's different from a standard config? ie. run offboard or onboard DIL?, 4th cell?, O2 injection on the exhale CL?, etc... Also curious about the performance of those Force Fins with all that gear???? (I thought I caught a glimpse of one of the divers wearing them in the video?) ![]() Thanks for the inspiration! Well done! Eric

| Re: HMS VICTORIA in Lebanon - just got back Don't wanna be sarcy here but for a video that starts of with "DIRrebreather on HMS Victoria", I am the only one noticing the continuous stream of bubbles from one of the MEGs?? ![]()

Your rebreather ever start bubbling underwater? The two are mutually exclusive, aren't they? Does doing it right mean no problems will happen?![]() Aren't the bubbles coming from the LP O2 injection line? Not a big deal. I wouldn't descend past the bubble check on a dive like this with that already visible, but if it started while on the bottom, there isn't much to do about it. Still have manual injection. I'd probably go with it until I couldn't anymore and switch to manual add after that. Let's not make a big deal out of it. They say they identified it, fixed it, and moved on without further fault.

| Re: HMS VICTORIA in Lebanon - just got back Wow! that looks like an awesome dive. I have never been to such a depth so I was surprised to see how much ambient light is there at 147m / 482ft !!! Congratulations and Spiros, please take your time in writing up the dive report! I am looking foreword to a solid read where I can live vicariously through your writings. ![]() Thanks in advance for the detailed report!
