![]() | Hello to all this is a translation of the article by J-J Bolanz on Plongeesout.. ![]() Casati with J-J Bolanz (Archive) The Majerovo spring, located close to Sinac-Otocac in Croatia, has been explored in 1998 and 1999 by an expedition headed by Frank Vasseur. This former exploration mapped 615m of caves. The bigest penetration point is located at 415m from the entrance with the deepest point of -92m (89m measured by the VR3) We have heard of another massive expedition by those austrian DIRs, from which we have not found any information outside a short report written in croatian and interesting for the described logistics: 100 tanks, 10 scooters and 6 ccrs rebreathers. Gigi Casati has only found a piece of guideline long around 65 meters located between -85m to -95m. After that no other sign. Luigi (Gigi) has explored a big room with a bottom of -104m, long around 50m and wide around 30m and has verified that there is no continuation. In the same room has explored the upper part with a funnel 20m x 15m wide with vertical walls and without any evidence of water inlet. I've personally (JJB) explored against the flow the main duct after passing the part that has been explored by the french expedition at -76m and then continued uo to -30. At this point looks like a dead-end. In a week we have explored a total of unexplored 332m of the syphon bringing the distance to a total of 942m with the deepest point at -104m. We have taken some photos but we haven't done any topography. Team members : Alen Milosevic (film), Tomislav Flajpan dit Frf, Gordan Polic (Also diving with the french expedition) Alessandro Fantini ,Yuri Bettuzzi e Nadia Bocchi a very effective support team, Lorenzo Del Veneziano (photos), J-J Bolanz, Luigi Casati, and above all Tihomir Kovacevic and his club, the DDISKF. Sponsors: Coltri, Giosub, LMNT, Parisi, Utengas Cheers GiBi ![]() Location: Google Maps ![]() ![]() Last edited by GiBi : 16th September 2007 at 20:55. |
