Marinequest Eyemouth

An unashamed plug for these guys...

http://www.marinequest.co.uk/

Father and Son, Jim and Iain Easingwold have been catering for recreational divers for the past couple of years. They are now offering deeper dives for tekkie divers and have some excellent wrecks in the 40 - 80 meter range.

Comfortable dive boat for 10 rec or 8 tekkie divers with onboard loo, dive lift and excellent tea/soup/cake. They also do B&B and can provide air and nitrox fills.

They are happy to take individuals to make up a group. The only down side is their 'look but don't take a hammer/hacksaw to it' policy.

Yesterday, 6 of us dived the U714 (WW2 German Sub) in 57 meters. Two of us were on Inspirations and the other 4 (the unenlightened) on twin sets. 10 m viz, 13 degree sea temp and a run time of about an hour. The wreck is a 10 min steam from Eyemouth Harbour. Back in time for haggis and chips.

They are looking to do more tekkie trips so if you live in the North of England or South of Scotland you could do worse than get on their email list.

Oh well, another to cross off the list.
Might I suggest my mate Alan Lopez, he runs SpellbinderII out of Blyth. He will lift in whatever tat you are prepared to attach to a bag.
you will find it hard to get on his boat, its very popular.
Twin diesel jet drive, 42ft with lift. Inside cab and a full meal during your day out. We had chicken and veg pie, mash veg and gravy yesterday. Saturday was steak stew with mash.
We had a nice 90m dive a couple of weeks ago, he put the shot right on the bridge, set out a 9m and 6m trapeze with tag station and drop tanks. All that gear is on board at all times. Dropped our gear on deck and a plate of corned beef hash and beens were already waiting. No stranger to technical diving and procedures, Best skipper in these parts.
Spellbinder | North East Diving

Its the only time i get properly fed.

Re: Marinequest Eyemouth

I keep hearing really good things about Marinequest but so far haven't had the chance to go and try them out. Hopefully I'll get there soon.
