| Re: Protec Playa Del Carmen: Two Thumbs Up . Also we did Angelita which is deep and well suited for a CCR, a very cool dive!! you can do it on OC too if you like. send me an email if you want more info. How did your Rebreather stand up to the hydrogen sulphide at Angelita? Much discoloration?mel scubagrunt@hotmail.com

| Re: Protec Playa Del Carmen: Two Thumbs Up Been to the caves on OC. I'm just Intro to cave certified though. Most of the caves are relatively shallow with lots of up and down, doesn't seem well suited for Rebreather. What locations did you visit? Not all the caves are like that. Some have a fairly constant depth. I just let my counterlungs get a little fuller than usual to save a bit of gas. Kept the OPV tight and used my nose to control loop volume when we got to the bumpy bits. One nice thing about CCR cave is you can spend lots of time really looking at stuff without the timre pressure OC diving demands.
