The manufacturer's site says MSRP $6,995. Yes, sounds TGTBT, just like the Optima did.

Re: Can I place an order now?

Its not really $6,995 though, because just like every other unit, there are undisclosed costs before you can actually go diving.

I do see the attraction from a weight perspective. However, unless I missed something, there are no manual adds (!) for O2 and diluent - you have to trust the solenoid valves in the head for that. I'm not sure I like that design decision......

Re: Can I place an order now?

It also looks kinda 'sexy' it is a really neat self contained package which fits in a rucksack and looks great.

My understanding is they made like 10 moulds of the back of it until they got exactly the right look they were after.

For recreational diving as a main unit or to take on a holiday it can not be beat!

Re: Can I place an order now?

The $6995 is the real price as far as I can tell. Of course it doesn't include training. I think that even the tanks and sensors are included.

But time will tell. When they actually start shipping to end users, we'll know for sure.

from a competition perspective alone, that is a very nice price and may well help bring down prices industry wide!

1. Biggest reason: rear counterlung. Well you say, so does the classic KISS. However, if you upgrade the KISS to equivalent ECCR, it is already more than the Titan. The price issue also eliminates Boris or another Mark 15.5

2. Lightweight. Very important for my 5' female buddy.

3. Easy scrubber change. That is kind of important to keep aboves' interest in CCR.

It is nice and light weight... I carried it a couple blocks from my hotel to the convention center during DEMA and it was very managable...

Re: Can I place an order now?

Looked at it at BTS and was utterly unimpressed. I got to the "no manual add valves" part of the spiel and then politely excused myself.

If the designers read this here, feel free to IM. You have a load of objections to overcome before this rig will be taken seriously by anyone not involved in selling it or training people on it. Just shook my head and walked away. It is compact, I'll give it credit for that. The shell? Yeah, it'll probably last thru the first week aboard a RIB.... maybe.

Re: Can I place an order now?

I take it seriously and am impressed with what they are trying to do.

It will make a great little recreational unit.

You do come across a very opinionated Dave you are entitled to your opinions but how about not rubbishing others - how you had a pop at Ron in the other thread when you are doing the same thing yourself I don't know.
