![]() | Re: Titan CCR Please clarify your question as an "Open Source rebreather". The Bubbleseekers website is up and may have just been down during minor uploads. The manufacturers can be reached at bubbleseekersllc@yahoo.com or by phone at 818-222-2881. The Titan is currently being released to CCR instructors. It will soon be released to consumers once a strong instructor base has been established. Please look on the IANTD website for current Titan instructors in your area. The Titan has gotten rave reviews and is currently being dove around the world. |

The connector has been tested to 10,000 fsw. If you are debugging then I suggest that you put Linux on it as Windows is full of bugs that it wil take Microsft years to shake out. It's one thing rebooting at 1 ATM and your are word processing but I'd be severely hacked off to have to do it on some important project underwater where I was measuring something !!The Pentium based technology is not related to the Shearwater unit. In addition to our beloved Shearwater computer, we're going to be introducing a full function underwater computer - the Benthic PC. It is no joke and no myth. We're packing a 250 Gig harddrive and 1.6GHz processor into a waterproof housing about the size of Bruce's handset. The Benthic will be debuing this year (would you believe the hardest part of the project has been the full VGA driver board?). The TITAN CCR will be at Innerspace 2006. In the next couple days I'll try to post some pictures from our testing. Larry (and Tomar, but he's asleep right now) |

I am not expecting that you will hear any updates on it from DEMA... I think it's in "RIP" mode at this point...I would be interested to find out if anyone else has heard any different. M |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Titan CCR When they have actual test data regarding the run times I'll believe it. The days of unsubstanciated claims is over, and so far 8 hrs haven't been met when tested to any established protocol, may it be USN or CE. Hence such claims - not confidence inspiring. They been messing around with that thing for several years, the most action those rigs seem to get are dive shows - not confidence inspiring. They haven't returned a single phone call (used to live in SoCal) or e-mail in the 3 or 4 years I tried hooking up with them - not confidence inspiring. Any CCR without the ability to control loop content manually - not confidence inspiring. Just my humble opinion. ![]()
